A note about pillar candles
Pillar candles are designed to hold the wax within the candle and as it burns down into the center, results in a lovely glow. To properly burn a pillar candle, you should allow the candle to burn at least one hour for each inch of the candles diameter or width each time you burn the candle.

For Example:
2" wide x 6" tall Pillar Candles should burn at least 2 hours
3" wide x 5" tall Pillar Candles should burn at least 3 hours
4" wide x 9" tall Pillar Candles should burn at least 4 hours

By burning pillar candles for the correct length of time, you are allowing the entire top layer of wax to completely melt resulting in an even burn.
